Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 27:11-14 “Teach me Your way, O Lord, and lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies. 12 Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries; for false witnesses have risen against me, and such as breathe out violence. 13 I would have lost heart, unless I had believed
that I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living. 14 Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!”
Did you skip or skim over the Scripture? I’ll confess to you that sometimes I do when reading an article or a letter. Sadly, I skip the Scripture to get to the good stuff. If you skipped it, go back and read it. Then, apply the dependency of David to whatever is going on in your life today.
Pray for the physical needs of others. Amy told Jeremy that Lola will have her pins removed soon, another step in her bone healing. Ben told me yesterday morning that Crystal was told the meds and diet ought to make her feel less pain by Thursday. Jeanne told me this morning that Ken will have a heart catheterization Thursday to see what is going on in his heart. His stress test did not reveal any blockage. I’ve no news concerning Suzanne’s leg pain. Jeremy’s friend’s daughter, Alexa, has been given only a short time to live. I am in day 3 of chemo and am feeling few side affects.
Pray for the protection of our church and community from COVID. God has graciously kept us from an outbreak of COVID in our church or school. To the best of my knowledge, no one with an active case has been in our services. Those who have felt they might have been exposed have rightly stayed away. God is good. Pray that we might be able to safely continue to minister.
Sunday is Lord’s Table. We are going to try something new for a couple of months. We are going to use pre-packaged elements. It may make some feel more comfortable in joining us. We will see how this works and how the COVID numbers are in the future. Perhaps in this era, this may be the way we will continue. I don’t like change, but maybe this is a necessary change.
Youth have two activities this week. On Thursday evening, at 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Charlie and Brittany’s home, a new Bible study will begin. Then on Friday at 5:00 p.m. also at Charlie and Brittany’s home there will be a Harvest Party.
On Friday and Saturday at the Piggly Wiggly in Waupun, there is a Brat Fry for Lola to raise funds for the extra expenses that Paul and Amy have experienced. The weather looks good for a drive and this will no doubt be the last brat fry of the season!
Awana and Bible study tonight. Pray that we know that God shows up!
