Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 113:3-6 “From the rising of the sun to its going down the Lord’s name is to be praised. 4 The Lord is high above all nations, His glory above the heavens. 5 Who is like the Lord our God, Who dwells on high, 6 Who humbles Himself to behold the things that are in the heavens and in the earth?” It is always the right time to praise God – all day long. He is above everything, yet He stoops to notice what is going on in my life! Note the NKJV says “He humbles Himself.” God is far above and beyond me. Yet, God humbles Himself to take note of me! With the universe to run and all of heaven’s praises directed to Him, God sees me! Do you ache today? Are you discouraged? Know that God transcends heaven to be on earth with you.

First, I want to talk about a program change. We have recently had an uptick of COVID cases in our church. Because of its venue and its constituency, an activity that is of special concern is our Wednesday evening Bible study and prayer time. We are going to suspend this Bible study tonight through the end of February. The next time this study will meet will be March 3rd. Please pass the word to those you know normally attend. No Bible study on Wednesday evenings until March.

Pray for those in COVID quarantine and for those who have colds/flus. About half of the Struska family tested positive, as have the J. Chieros, and the Haydens. Tony McCrary has tested positive and is in the hospital. The others mentioned here are handling this well and expect to be back to normal soon.

Pray too for my cousin Paul C. He was in a snowmobile accident on Monday evening. He had much internal bleeding, broken ribs, and a broken shoulder. And continue to pray for my dad who broke his wrist two weeks ago. He had a plate put in last Thursday and is managing with pain meds.

Souped Up! is a week from tomorrow. This year we are doing no “eat-ins” and are only selling soup “to-go.” 8 varieties will be made and can be picked up from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. It is highly recommended that you pre-order which varieties you’d like. We always run out of some! Order forms are available at church this Sunday.

Pray for God’s protection of our country, community, and church. Pray for God’s Word to be powerful in our church. I had the privilege of walking through 2 Kings 2 with the elementary this morning. With Elisha I want to call out, “Where is the LORD God of Elijah?”

Embracing truth, Pastor
