Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, In my reading in the psalms I am in a section where David is fleeing from or in conflict with his human enemies: Edomites, Philistia, King Saul. I have recently mirrored many of David’s anxious and angry thoughts. There are a lot of thoughtless and evil people in this world! I have been encouraged that David finds only one true place of help – God. Psalm 60:11-12 Give us help from trouble, for the help of man is useless. 12 Through God we will do valiantly, for it is He who shall tread down our enemies. Whatever or whoever I may perceive as my enemy, my only help is from God because the help of man, me included, is worthless.
Lola was seen running around the church yesterday. I rejoice that her healing has progressed so well.
I also rejoice that the COVID numbers in Fond du Lac County are down by half from what they were two weeks ago. We had half the hospitalizations, half the new cases, and half the actives cases this past week as we had just two weeks ago. I pray this might be a beginning of a flattening of the curve. I know we are a long way from the end of this, but light at the end of this immediate tunnel is encouraging.
On the COVID subject, Dave R tested positive on Tuesday and was in church on Sunday. The Rs will be staying away for the needed amount of time, but we do want to do due diligence and let people know.
Pray for those you know are sick. Pray for peace and strength for our church, our community, and our country. Pray that God be glorified in your life and in mine.
Awana and Bible study are back to normal tonight. We have just 3 weeks and then we will take a two-week break from both because of holiday activities.
