Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 42:5, 11, 43:5 “Why are you cast down, O my soul? and why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him for the help of His countenance.” Three times in two chapters we read basically the same verse. David is talking to himself. Really, he is self-counseling. He asks himself why he is disturbed. And then he assures himself that his help and hope are found in looking toward God. Counsel yourself. Look to God.
I reported on Sunday that last week was a busy and good week. Bible School was well-attended and a lot of fun. We had good crews for our two days of serving at the Kohler picnic.
We have another new family joining Trinity Baptist School! Adding these two elementary boys gives us 27 full-time students and 4 part-time students. Praise the Lord. School begins on Monday, August 22nd.
Many have asked for help in making choices for the partisan primary elections on Tuesday, August 9th. There are a lot of important openings to fill! Linda M has done her homework and shared her choices. She has told me that she is willing to answer any questions you have. Her choices are on MOT in the auditoirum.
We have a Ministry Committee meeting this Sunday, August 7th at 5:00 p.m. and a Men’s Meeting on August 14th.
Pray for one another. Many are hurting physically and many others are hurting spiritually. Pray for our country. Pray for revival in your heart, in our church, in our homes, and in our land. May God’s Word direct us to repentance and hope.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
