Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family: “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.” Psalm 19:14
What to do today? The burden of being my own boss is that it is my first job to determine what my job is! After I have accomplished the absolute necessities, it’s a question of how much day is left and what will be most profitable. When I do stop and reflect on my efforts, Psalm 19:14 needs to be in my heart. O may the work I do, words I say, and thoughts I think be to the glory of God always.
Tomorrow is Men’s Retreat! Come when you can to the group campsites at Kohler-Andre State Park – south of Sheboygan. It is about an hour’s drive. You’ll need a state park sticker. Don’t worry about firewood – Dale and Jeremy have that covered. And Paul, Curt, and I are bringing the food. Do bring bug spray and sun screen. There are showers a short drive away. Do plan on putting your feet in Lake Michigan. Do plan on godly fellowship and being challenged by God’s Word. Those not coming, pray for safety and spiritual growth.
My dad is getting stronger every day. The doctors tell him the marker from the parasite is gone from his blood. Thank you for your prayers.
Mark Shaeffer has had his first chemo. He had a good enough day that he gave Jeremy a call.
We have the potential of another sophomore at TBS! That would being our matriculation to 27!
Bev Baum has moved from Fond du Lac to be near her niece.
Pray for one another. Pray that our hearts be turned first to Jesus and then to our relationships in the church as we observe Lord’s Table on Sunday morning.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
