Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 46:1-3 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; 3 Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah God is our ever present refuge. The contrasting pictures are extreme! Nothing we are troubled with compares with earth ending or mountain moving! Praise God.
Wednesday evening we have a Thanksgiving Worship service at 7:00 p.m. It will be an hour of Scriptures, hymns, and a short sermon. I am excited about the opportunity of thanking God as a Congregation for His all He is and does.
We have a church decorating family activity this Saturday from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Bring your family, claim a decorating project, and have some creative fun. In the past this is sometimes a “food activity.” This will not be.
Sunday, November 29th, is Church Dinner Day! We will be in 1 Samuel 16 – the anointing of shepherd-boy David to be King of Israel and the distressing spirit upon Saul from the Lord. We are watching Saul become a psychological mess in these chapters!
On Sunday morning I am going to be in 1 Peter 5:8-9. We are going to talk about having victory over our Arch Enemy – the Devil.
Take some time this Thanksgiving to pray for our country. Pray for our President and our President-elect. Pray for our governor and our legislators. Pray for COVID to be defeated. Pray for God’s protection of Israel, our country, our community, our church, and our families. Pray for marriages to be strong. Pray for our young people to be godly and to be learning God’s truth.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
