Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 42:5, 11 & Psalm 43:5 Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God. Three times between these two psalms we have the same verse. Why are you discouraged? It’s a good question. If our hope is in the person of God and our praise is directed towards Him, our countenance will be one of joy.
Tomorrow we return to our two adult classes. My class will be looking at taxes. The Here a Little for the coming week addresses Islam and Terrorism. Sunday morning we are going to look at Pastors from 1 Peter 5:1-5. On Sunday evenings we are in one of the most applicable chapters in the Old Testament – 1 Samuel 15 – the story of Saul’s failed obedience. I’m looking forward to a great day with God’s people.
