Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
I rejoice in the refreshing and convicting Lord’s Day we shared this past Sunday. I was challenged in my thinking about God during Sunday School and I thought Pastor Shaeffer’s sermon from Nehemiah on Sunday night to be excellent. What a big God we serve!
Yesterday, Jeremy, Charlie, Curt, and I listened to 6 good sermons at 1st Baptist in Rockford, IL. There were over 100 registrants and I would guess I knew about a third of them. We were able to fellowship with Pastor Rory. Thank you for your prayers for our safety and encouragement.
Today is Senior Lunch at Rolling Meadows at noon. We will be looking at 1 Thessalonians 4:9-12 in our study.
Tony, Beth, and Sarah are flying to Vancouver today. They are taking a cruise to Alaska. Pray for their safety. And pray that Lin and I have a special time with 4 grandchildren these next several days.
Those going into 6th grade through high school have a Summer Kick Off activity this Saturday, May 25th, at the Pump Station Pavillon at Lakeside Park at 5:00 p.m.. (It’s just north of Uecker-Witt.) If you have any questions, contact pastor Charlie.
I don’t know about you, but now that school is over I have a zillion things I should accomplish. I pray i have the strength and will to do what I ought to do. As seasons change, I need to focus again on what God would have me to be doing now. May we use what we have to the glory of Jesus Christ.
Pray for one another.
Embracing Truth. Equipping Saints.
