Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 93:1-5 The Lord reigns, He is clothed with majesty; The Lord is clothed, He has girded Himself with strength. Surely the world is established, so that it cannot be moved. 2 Your throne is established from of old; You are from everlasting. 3 The floods have lifted up, O Lord, The floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves. 4 The Lord on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, than the mighty waves of the sea. 5 Your testimonies are very sure; Holiness adorns Your house, O Lord, forever.” What “flood” is pounding its waves at your soul today? This short psalm of praise focuses on the immutability of God. In spite of the floods (circumstances), God is sure. His work cannot be moved.
Please note – when we come together refrain from shaking hands or hugging. Many want to be in church, but have made a point to keep from contact with those not in their family. We need to help each other feel comfortable at this time.
Tomorrow evening we will come together for Bible study and prayer. We will have nursery for those under 3, a children’s class for 3 years through 5th grade, a teen class for those going into 6th grade and above, and an adult class in the auditorium. We will live stream the adult class at 7:00 p.m. on Facebook. Join us as Charlie continues his walk through Genesis. He will pick up the story in chapter 5 this Wednesday.
We will have a Men’s Prayer time again this Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. The following Saturday, May 30th, is an all-church work/cleaning day so we won’t meet for prayer as men that day. But then the first week of June we will meet again.
Pray for God to protect our church. Pray for defeat of this virus. God alone is the healing and cure we desperately need. Pray for those who are grieving. Pray for grace and rest.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
