Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family: Because of school and family events, today was the first day of summer work schedule for me. It was our first day to really dig into the project of moving TBS back to TBC. As excited as I was 11 years ago when we had the opportunity to move TBS to a larger space with a gym, I am anxiously anticipating the good things God has planned for this church and its school ministry in the future. Pray for wisdom, grace, and patience for all of us!
Pastor Shaeffer’s dad is flying to Houston today. He will have tests this week to determine what is going on – whether he has cancer again and what the possible treatments might be. Pray for Mark Shaeffer. Pray too for Jeremy. He sees a doctor this week to determine how to treat his porphyria. Also remember Amber and Jeremy in the legal hassles associated with their foster children.
Pray for Chad and Sarah Prigge. Chad pastors Fellowship Baptist Church in Watertown. Sarah has cancer and little hope of living very long. I believe they have 5 children ages 10 to 19. Sarah is resting in God’s working in her life. Please pray especially for Chad and their children as they walk through the days to come.
Pray for LeAnn Murray, Jim Jones, Janet Russell and those who care for them.
Pray for our VBS. “Sailing with Jesus” will be July 22-25th – 6 weeks from Sunday. Pray that we might reach children and families with the gospel.
Pray for those seeking to win the lost. Several of us have committed to beginning a Bible study with someone in the next 30 days. Pray that we do so and that some might believe or have their faith strengthened because of these studies. If you have questions or need materials, please see me.
This letter has not been as fun as some. Here’s a good note to end on! Tomorrow Lin and I celebrate 31 years of marriage. June 6, 1987 was a great day for me, might I say the best day of my life! I praise God for His goodness to us and ask that He might continue to allow us to glorify Jesus together.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
