Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, I rejoice in the ministry of the word I have received in the past couple of days. I enjoyed listening to the sermons given by Darryl and Charlie at Trinity Baptist on Sunday. We also profited from great teaching here at Zeke and Hannah’s church. Then, early this morning I joined Zeke at a men’s group called Grits and Grace and was challenged by a topical study about anger. God is good and I am blessed.
In Zeke’s personal reading he came across Malachi 2:10 and shared it with me. “Have we not all one Father? Has not one God created us? Why do we deal treacherously with one another by profaning the covenant of the fathers?” It’s pretty easy to apply this to today’s current events. Perhaps it is a bit more convicting and difficult to apply it to our interpersonal relationships. In context, God applies this to marriage. We need to treat everyone with the mindset that God has created all of us in His image.
Matt tells me that Dennis is still in the hospital. Pray for his healing from surgery. He does have kidney cancer and last I heard radiation treatments are planned.
Pray for our Christian brothers and sisters in other countries. We received a letter from Doug Boisvert today telling us of how our benevolent gifts are being used in South Sudan. Pray for the survival and ministries of the good pastors who are receiving our monies through Doug. Our discomfort because of COVID19 pales in comparison to the added starvation and violence being experienced in other parts of the world.
Pray for our VBS – God’s Great Zoo. Beth sent out a letter yesterday saying we still need teachers for junior ages. I urge you to contact her if you are able to help in Sunday School on July 19 and July 19-22 at 6:30 p.m. This is a very important ministry to our children.
