Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 101 is filled with “I will”s. I am especially challenged with Psalm 101:3-4 “I will set nothing wicked before my eyes;
I hate the work of those who fall away; It shall not cling to me. 4 A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will not know wickedness.” O may this be my constant passion: that I would be adverse to that which is evil.
First, some personal stuff. Yesterday, I was part of a 4 hour discussion of a book written in 2023 entitled “The Rise and Fall of Dispensationalism.” The author was present for our discussion. And the other 7 of us in the room would consider ourselves Dispensationalists! It made for a lively and learning day!
Then, some of you know that I was to see a kidney doctor today. This was my second visit with him. It was a helpful and encouraging visit. I’ll be taking another prescription and will need to continue on this diet and life goes on!
Continue to pray for Mollie and Kathy. I have no new news from them. Pray for Tony M’s wife Jean. She has just now been able to come to the United States. Her father has passed away and she will not be able to attend the funeral in the Philippines. Pray for her comfort and pray for their children in the Philippines.
Mission Trip Toronto is on Day 2 of serving at the youth sports camp. Sarah tells me they had about 30 children yesterday. They were in a ESL meeting last night. Pray that the message of Jesus might sink deep into hearts.
Pray for a young man named Ben. Pray for a young lady named Madeline to return to the Lord.
VBS WANTEDbegins at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 23rd. It will run through Thursday evening. Spread the word. Let all 3 year olds through those going into 8th grade know that there is a great week planned for them. If you’d like to help, reach out to Beth.
In tomorrow evening’s adult Bible study we will be in Jeremiah 33.
Serve God. Serve others. May your world be surprised by your Christlikeness. Be metamorphosed!
