Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family,
This morning in staff devos, Pastor Shaeffer shared Philippians 1:21 “For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” From a Roman jail cell, Paul expressed his confidence in whatever God was doing in his life. Little do we know what God has planned!
My surgeon’s scheduler called this morning to say that my surgeon has Covid! My surgery scheduled for Thursday is cancelled to be rescheduled – and she has no idea when. She has multiple doctors, many operating rooms, and at least 6 frustrated patients to deal with. I had asked on Sunday for folks to pray that I was over this virus attacking my throat before surgery. Perhaps this was God’s answer. I am not happy with the circumstances. I am sad that may who have adjusted their life to accommodate me will be asked to make more changes. I am still confident that God is His Providence is Lord of circumstances and viruses! Stay tuned.
I am planning now to preach Sunday morning, continue my Jeremiah Sunday School class, and have Children’s Choir on Sunday evening.
Kayla S went into surgery for her blood clot about 2:30 p.m. I have not yet heard the results of this. Continue to pray for her protection and healing.
Sunday is Lord’s Table Day – which means we will have a second offering at the close of the service for a benevolent project. This Sunday’s benevolent offering will go to our youth mission trip. 4 teens and 3 sponsors are going to Canada to work in a youth sports camp from July 8-15th. The total cost for this trip will be about $4,000. We have $1,800 remaining from our last mission trip fundraising. The team is looking for help raising the rest of the money.
I believe last week’s Awana store was moved to tomorrow night.
Be faithful today. We don’t know what tomorrow brings.
Embracing Truth. Equipping Saints.
Pastor
