Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Lin and I read Psalm 68 this morning. As we finished I said, “That would make a great worship service.” Duh … plainly it was used by Israel as just that. Here’s just one verse that demands our praise: Psalm 68:19 “Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits, the God of our salvation! Selah” I love it – “daily loads us!” No matter what enemies you face today – and a lot of enemies are mentioned in Psalm 68, no matter our human weaknesses, God is strong and desires to strengthen us to His praise and glory.
Pray for Dave R. He had a rough weekend and Kathy thinks he is de-hydrated. He fainted this morning and she took him to the ER in Oshkosh. Pray that they are able to build him up as he continues to fight this virus. Pray for wisdom for Kathy and Dave as they quarantine and make care decisions.
I believe Tony M is still in the hospital. As of this weekend they were working to find the antibiotics that would fight the cellulitis. Pray for strength, wisdom, and patience for Tony and Linda.
News from Ken R is that he is not much better following his heart procedure. Pray for an answer to his shortness of breath.
Suzanne G is seeing a doctor this week to determine if surgery is the answer for her knee.
My blood numbers were low yesterday, but my doctor determined to proceed with my chemo. No more this week! I am thankful because it means my big week, hopefully next week, will likely be completed before Christmas week! I am 2/3rds done with my treatments and feeling amazingly well this week. Thank you for your prayers.
Pray for God’s protection and wisdom for our church and community. Pray that God be glorified in this Christmas season. Pray for God to use us to bring people to Jesus.
This Thursday evening is the Trinity Baptist School Christmas program. Pastor Shaeffer and all involved are working very hard. Come at 6:30 p.m. for a blessing and bring an offering for a gift for our teaching staff. There ought to be plenty of room in the auditorium for social distancing. Staff is working hard to ensure hearing in all parts of the room.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
