Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, As Lin and I read Psalm 118 this morning, I was caught by the closeness the psalmist felt to God. A repeated phrase is “His mercy endures forever” and more than once it reads “He has become my salvation.” Oh may my thoughts be focused on God this day. May I feel like we – God and I – are family.
Though they were delayed by a blizzard, Charlie and Brittany made it safely home from Montana. Praise the Lord. The Shaeffers are leaving for Ohio after this next snow storm passes. Pray for their safety on the roads.
Jean W. greatly covets your prayers for her healing. Her numbers are improving and they have begun physical therapy to help her gain strength. Continue to pray that Kathy R will remain cancer free. She is finishing the last of her chemo treatments.
Join us on Friday evening at 6:00 p.m. for a potluck supper. Grub and Games is a fun family evening. Games will be played until the last game player leaves! Bring your favorite table game and come fellowship with the church family.
Sunday’s schedule is normal. We have a missionary in adult Sunday School. Pastor Andy Buhrow will represent Baptist for Life. After Lord’s Table on Sunday morning we will take a second offering which we will divide between Baptist for Life, Charis (here in Fond du Lac), and New Life in West Bend.
Practice for our choir’s spring semester begins on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. This is a good time to consider joining the choir! On Sunday evening, I will continue my historical books walk and take up 1 Kings 14. We will learn of the death of a child because the Lord “found something good” about the child. This is strange to our way of thinking.
So have you set any goals for 2022? How about Bible reading? Choose a plan – there are many ideas on the internet or speak with a mature Christian for ideas – and begin reading now.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
