Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family,

Psalm 20:1-6 ‘May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble; May the name of the God of Jacob defend you;
2 May He send you help from the sanctuary, and strengthen you out of Zion; 3 May He remember all your offerings, and accept your burnt sacrifice. Selah 4 May He grant you according to your heart’s desire, and fulfill all your purpose.
5 We will rejoice in your salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners! May the Lord fulfill all your petitions. 6 Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand.”
In our staff devotions this morning, Sarah brought us to Psalm 20. The first 6 verses read like a blessing. I find great encouragement in the request for God to “grant your heart’s desire,” “fulfill all your purpose,” and “fulfill all your petitions.” It is more than OK for me to want these things. It is also right that we should request these blessings from God upon others. May God grant your heart’s desire!

We have a busy week as we keep annual Christmas appointments. I encourage you to be at the church on Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. for the Christmas program of Trinity Baptist School. Every student is part of this program. There will be singing from 2 choirs and a short “shadow” program. It will be different and fun. We will also receive an offering that will be a gift to our teaching staff. You could give on Thursday or on this coming Sunday.

Friday night is an All-Nighter for the teens of the church. They are joining 2 other churches at Faith Baptist, Plymouth. For details and travel information, talk to Pastor Charlie.

All adults of Trinity Baptist are invited to the Leeds’ home (parsonage) for an evening of food and fun on Saturday, December 17th, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Bring an hors d’oeuvre or sweet to share. Warning – there will be group activities!

Devin Scherck is leading a coral presentation that you will not want to miss. Our adult choir will be ministering at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 18th. There will be a short sermon. Bring your friends!

We will have our 10:00 a.m. worship service on Sunday, Christmas morning. We will have Sunday School and morning worship on Sunday, New Year’s Day.

It’s hard to believe, but in a couple of weeks this will all be past. Take advantage of the grace of God afforded you today!

Embracing Truth,

Pastor
