Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Last evening Pastor Shaeffer pointed out that he identified greatly with Ezra 9:13 “And after all that has come upon us for our evil deeds and for our great guilt, since You our God have punished us less than our iniquities deserve, and have given us such deliverance as this.” Every true believer who is attempting to draw near to God and be more like Jesus understands this. God is gracious and does not give us what we really deserve. Sometimes we simplistically say, “That’s because what we really deserve is hell.” Although this is true, believers must embrace this in our lives today. Whatever I am experiencing, God is good and I am receiving better than I deserve.
If you have not yet heard, we had a successful auction. We believe we raised over $9,500. With additional gifts we sometimes receive, that number may be closer to $10,000. We rejoice that God has continued to use the hard work and generosity of many people to keep our school ministry viable. Thank you, if you had a part. Plan again for the 3rd Friday in March, march 21, 2025.
Senior Lunch is tomorrow, Tuesday, March 19th at Rolling Meadows Restaurant. We meet at noon to order and enjoy fellowship. I will not be able to attend tomorrow because I am traveling to Madison with our high school. My absence is no reason to skip out on this time of prayer and fellowship. Rolling Meadows will be ready for you.
Fifteen of us are going to the State Capital tomorrow for a Day at the Capitol sponsored by Wisconsin Family Council. We will listen to legislators and a State Supreme Court Justice. It is a long day. We need to meet at the school at 7:15 a.m. and won’t return until about 3:30 p.m. – depending upon traffic. This is a great opportunity for our young people to learn first hand what happens in Madison.
I rejoice in the good Lord’s Day. I commend those who listened to sermons from two difficult passages. I do believe God blesses those who exercise “holy sweat” to learn God’s truths as taught from God’s Word.
Pray for Christ Jesus to return.
