Tuesday, August 22, 2017 – prayer updates
Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family: I am happy to report that there has been Struska sightings! Dale, Kim, and family have safely returned after a 6,500 mile trip. Their 6 students are 20% of our student body, so we are glad to have them in class! Kim’s doctor says there is another treatment he would like to try. Continue to pray for her healing and recovery from past treatments.
Sue is day by day recovering from last Tuesday’s surgery. She has had some complications from fluid. Pray for healing from surgery and for her upcoming chemo treatments.
Our list of those who have physical struggles is long: Carol Purcell, Bev Baum, Jim Jones, LeAnn Murray, and Janet Russell all come to my mind. Pray for God to be wonderful in their lives and strengthen them as only He can.
Jean Rosenthal is praising God for the good results of her surgery.
TBS is having a good first week. Pray for teachers, families, and students.
We have an Awana Director’s meeting tomorrow evening at 6:30p. All those who lead one of our clubs should be in attendance. A meeting for all leaders is scheduled for next Wednesday also at 6:30p. Our regular summer Bible studies continue at 7p these next two Wednesdays.
Sunday is church dinner day and it is our annual picnic. We will be at McDermott Park – next to the church – at 12:30p. I understand Randy and Jan are national Exchange Club corn hole champions. They have signed up to defend their status at the picnic. Challengers? There is also a kick ball game planned. Come show your stuff. A grill will be lit. Bring meat to share and a dish or two to pass. Table service and drinks will be provided.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
