Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, 

Psalm 2:1 “Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing?” The answer is really simple. They hate God and do not want to submit to Him. I am currently reading a book by Tony Evan (2022) on God and politics. In an opening chapter he says that the further a culture gets from God the more confusion/chaos God will send that culture. We can wring our hands and wonder what’s happening in some places in our culture, but the bottom line is really quite simple. Many people hate God and want nothing to do with Him.

I rejoice in another good Lord’s Day we were allowed to enjoy at Trinity Baptist Church. I was challenged by the burden of our missionary.

I want to brag on our church. I have been amazed and blessed by the generosity of Trinity Baptist to our visiting missionaries. I know they are greatly encouraged by this demonstration of your support for their ministry. May those who so give be richly blessed in many ways.

Wednesday, May 1st, is Awana Awards night. A Taco Bar will be open to all in the basement of the church at 5:30 p.m. At 6:30 p.m. we will gather in the auditorium for a challenge from God’s Word and to witness the presentations of this year’s awards. A great majority of our clubbers have completed books this year. I believe these young people and tomorrow’s church will be strengthened because of the truths they have learned. There will be no adult Bible study this week. Come be the church as we recognize the accomplishments of these Clubbers.

The teens have a Bible Study at Charlie and Brittany’s home at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 2nd. Acts 29 – the young adults – have a Bible study/fellowship at the Braker’s home on Friday, May 3rd, also at 7:00 p.m. Men’s Prayer Breakfast is this Saturday, May 4th, at the church at 8:00 a.m. If you would like to join us for breakfast, please sign up at the Ministry Opportunity Table or contact me.
