Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 16:5-6 O Lord, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You maintain my lot. 6 The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; Yes, I have a good inheritance. God is what I have. I am in a pleasant place and I have much. I rejoice with King David for Who God is to me and what I have in Jesus.
I have received word that Lola will be discharged tomorrow! Pray for safety and grace as Paul and Amy’s family find a new normal. Praise God!
Thank you to those who prayed for me today. Everything went as smoothly as could be expected. The doctor was successful in obtaining a biopsy from a very tricky place. I am in no pain and am feeling fine. I am supposed to take it slow tonight and so I will! I should know by the middle of next week what they have found this spot to be.
Pray for our TBS staff as we travel to Green Bay to join a portion of the Wisconsin Association of Christian Schools for an educator’s conference. This is a mini-conference compared to “normal” years. It will still be good to fellowship and learn things.
Saturday’s weather forecast looks great for a cider pressing at the Carter’s home. The event begins at 3:00 p.m. but I imagine if you have a strong arm and want to crank the press you could show up earlier. Bring chili and/or other fall goodies. This is a family event. Bring children and lawn chairs! If you’d like to take cider home, bring apples and a jug!
On Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m. we are going to have a sing in the church basement. We are going to get out the old hymnbooks. I am calling this Sing N Snacks. Bring your best hymn-singing voice and food to be eaten with fingers!
Every moment is a gift. Every blessing is a grace. Be blessed and be a blessing.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
