Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 95:5-6 The sea is His, for He made it; and His hands formed the dry land. 6 Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. Creation is a great reason for worship. We look at an awesome work of art and ask, “Who made it?” So we ought to look at our own bodies and everything around us and marvel at our Creator.
On Sunday evening our Ministry Committee met and discussed some guidelines for our church as it continues to walk through these different days. Here is what we discussed concerning the preparation and care of our building and services.
We will resume the normal activities of Trinity Baptist Church. We will hold off resuming Sunday School until May 31st. Although we know that we cannot provide a perfect environment, we will make an effort to provide a safe environment.
- We will work to provide personal sanitation opportunities in the entry, the auditorium, and in other rooms used throughout the building.
- We will work to provide masks for those who would choose to use them but have forgotten theirs at home.
- We will place warning and information signage at entries and other places.
- We will establish cleaning procedures with a check list for different parts of the building.
- We will practice due diligence in sanitizing bathrooms, door handles, and other common surfaces.
- We ask people to refrain from shaking hands or other physical contact with non-family members.
- Most importantly, we will extend grace to all as Christ would have us receive one another.
If we learn that someone who has been in our building has tested positive we will make this information available as we learn it. We will fully cooperate with local health officials. We understand that we may have to quarantine ourselves as a church by closing public services for a period of time.”
Over 100 bidding opportunities have been created under Trinity Baptist School at biddingowl.com. I encourage you to check out the amazing baskets that have been put together. You can visit many of them at church. This auction has begun and will end at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 29th.
Several health needs were mentioned last evening: Van’s step-dad Tom in his recovery from hip replacement, Suzanne’s son Kevin and Kayla’s dad Ron both have cancer, and Carolyn’s brother-in-law “Doc.” Also pray for those who have lost loved ones in recent months: Carolyn’s brother Steve, Pat, Ross, Stephanie, and Gary. Pray for the young people who have determined to live for God. Pray for our services Sunday, that God be glorified and Christians be edified.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
