Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 68:1-3 “Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered; let those also who hate Him flee before Him. 2 As smoke is driven away, so drive them away; as wax melts before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God. 3 But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God; yes, let them rejoice exceedingly.” I was encouraged again by this passage. In our world of conflict, it is comforting to identify bad and good. The admonition to us in conflicting times is: Rejoice exceedingly! So let us rejoice.
We praise God for the successful surgery of Tim S’s niece, Elizabeth. Pray for the recovery and strengthening of this little one with spinal bifida. Jean W tells me that her patch was successful in lessening her back pain. But they are going to remove the temporary patch today! Pray that a permanent one will be put in soon. Last night at Bible study, Pat H was also praising God for a successful heart procedure and control of her neuralgia. Jeanne B is praying that God might heal her eyes so she does not need to have her cataracts removed.
Doug and Cheryl Boisvert, who have been our missionaries for about 25 years, will be ministering to us this coming Lord’s Day, June 30th. They will give us their final ministry report in Sunday School and then Doug will be our preacher in the 10:00 a.m. service. I look forward to hearing how our finances and prayers have ministered through the Boisverts around the world.
Also this Lord’s Day is our Annual Congregational Meeting. We will meet at 1:00 p.m. in the auditorium. At this meeting we plan to establish budgets for our 2024-2025 fiscal year for our general fund, school fund, and missions fund. We will also promote receive reports and promote future projects and meetings. An agenda with the reports is available on the table in the back of the auditorium. If you picked one up last week, bring it to the meeting! Members are strongly encouraged to attend this meeting.
We will have our Bible studies as usual on Wednesday, July 3rd.
Know that the Lord is good. Know that Jesus knows your name. Know that He sees how we behave.
Embracing Truth. Equipping Saints.
