Thursday, February 4, 2021 – Souped Up!
Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, “Psalm 119:30 I have chosen the way of truth; Your judgments I have laid before me.” I read this verse this morning in the NIV where it reads “I have chosen the way of faithfulness.” This morning that idea rang loudly in my head. I have not chosen the simple or easy or fastest way. I have chosen the way of truth – faithfulness. As I have chosen to walk this way, the results in my life are inevitable. God is right and His way is best.
Today is Souped Up! Prior to the start of today’s soup making we were sold out of some varieties! This is our 9th year and some of our flavors have fans.
Beginning on Monday, I began to notice an increase of symptoms. It’s been hard for me to determine if what I experience is the result of Chemo, COVID, or a Cold. On Tuesday I pulled myself out of people contact and handed the Souped Up! kitchen off to Beth and Charlie. They have not contacted me this morning (not surprisingly) so I figure they are doing well with Kathy, Paul, Jeremy, and the high school’s help. I have a COVID test scheduled for tomorrow morning. I’ll let you know more when I know more.
I am not going to be in church Sunday. Jeremy is preaching from Luke in the morning service. I believe Tony has adult Sunday School and Charlie is the evening service preacher. There will not be Men’s Prayer Breakfast this coming Saturday morning.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
