Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family: I don’t know about you, but I can handle the rain and cold this time of year because I know the sun is going to be up for many hours and will eventually win the day. In my spiritual life I need to think the same way. Though cold winds and clouds my cause us to bundle up, we know the Jesus is present and He is going to win the day.
Tomorrow is Mother’s Day. I’ve been thinking about Mom a bit as I prepare my heart for the Lord’s Day. Mothers are precious gifts from God. As we honor them, may we be thankful to our Creator for His marvelous plan.
We had a good evening on Wednesday as we recognized the superior achievement of many of our TBS students. The upper elementary performed a fun musical. Pastor Shaeffer brought us an encouraging challenge from Psalm 73.
This coming week we look forward to TBS Kindergarten and High School graduation on Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. We have 3 senior and 4 kindergarten graduates in 2018! Pastor Shaeffer said some end of year grade point awards will also be recognized. Come and help us honor this milestone in the lives of Andras Muranyi, Mackenzie Rabe, and Mahri Westra.
Wednesday, May 16th will be the first of our summer family Bible studies. Charlie will be taking the teens for a walk through Philippians. The rest of us will be in Isaiah 44. Remember our start time falls back to 7:00 p.m. until Awana begins again.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
