Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Mark 1:35 “Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He (Jesus) went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed.” Early in Jesus’ ministry we see Him praying. Note the priority of prayer – Jesus got up early. Have you prayed today? For what did Jesus pray? Not for the sick, He healed them all? When the disciples found Him, Jesus immediately requested that He would go preach in other towns. I believe Jesus was praying about ministry.

Midweek we learned that Pastor Larry W is home. I believe this is good news. Cathy T has learned this week that she has breast cancer. She will have surgery on Tuesday, March 14th and then radiation. The prognosis is good.

My surgery is rescheduled for Monday, March 27th in the afternoon. As I went through this week, I was thankful that my surgeon had cancelled because my cold would have likely cancelled my surgery on my end. I am feeling much better now than I was mid-week. Stay tuned to the various ministry modifications falling out from my schedule change!

Because it is the first Sunday of the month and Lord’s Table day, we will be taking a second offering. These funds will go to our own mission trip. Four teens and 3 adults will be traveling to Canada July 8th – 15th to serve in a camp. They will be working with a local church and alongside missionary Coolbaugh. They need about $4,000 for this trip. We have $1,800 left from last trip.

At 8:15 a.m. on Sunday morning we have Sunday School classes for all ages: babies through grandparents. Adults are currently studying the doctrine of the church (Ecclesiology) and in another class the prophecies of Jeremiah. In the 10:00 a.m. service, I will continue my walk through Mark. We see Jesus marking out differences between His Kingdom and human expectations. In the 6:30 p.m. service, Pastor Charlie is preaching from Psalms.

We have both Adult and Children’s Choirs on Sunday afternoon at 5:00 p.m. Because of my schedule, this will be the only Children’s Choir in March.

Pray that the Word of God be supreme as we come together. Pray for saints to be edified and all of us to be convicted by the Spirit. May we be more like Jesus because we were in church.

Embracing Truth. Equipping Saints. Pastor
