Prayer Letter from Lloyd Peace – May 23, 2012
Dear Praying Friends,
Thank you for your faithfulness in praying for our family and ministry. We appreciate you!
We have been excited to see how God is providing for our monthly support needs. When we started furlough, we needed to raise around $1,500 in monthly support. We have had some new donors join our support team and seen some increases by existing donors in the past couple of months. We are down to needing $630 in monthly support before we can receive financial clearance from ABWE to return to Brazil. Please join us in thanking God for His provision.
We are also excited to report that all of the funds for the plane and hangar have been provided. Plans are currently being drawn up by an architectural engineer in Manaus for the hangar.
In June and July we will be involved with two Vacation Bible Schools and a Junior camp. We are hoping to make one last trip to the West Coast in August to finish up our meetings out that way. We are thankful for some new meetings that have been scheduled for this summer.
If all goes according to schedule, Athena’s last chemo should be given on July 30th. She is currently receiving chemo every Monday morning and has 10 weeks left to go. The side effects from the chemo haven’t been easy, but we are thankful there is an end in sight. The doctors have said that it can take six months to a year after finishing the chemo for the side effects to resolve.
