Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Philippians 4:1 “Therefore, my beloved and longed-for brethren, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, beloved.” Our October memory work at TBS is Philippians 4:1-9. As we read through it this morning I was reminded that we are loved and we need to stand fast. Paul said he loved the Philippians. We are loved by many in the church. Let’s take this as a fact and stand firm in the Lord.
I rejoice in the good day of fellowship and preaching yesterday at Trinity Baptist. This preacher enjoyed his day!
Tomorrow is our monthly Senior Lunch and Bible study. We will meet at Rolling Meadows to order at noon. Our topical study after we eat will be on the nation of Israel. What should Christians think about today’s Israel? What does God think about Israel? Should our understanding of eschatology affect our political position on Israel? Come for the study and good fellowship.
This Wednesday ends our Awana Canned Food drive. Clubbers who bring a non-perishable food item this week will receive 10 points for their team. Sometimes that’s all it takes to win for the evening.
This Friday is the monthly young adult Bible study. It will be at the Tony Braker home at 7:00 p.m. Also this Saturday morning is Men’s Prayer Breakfast. If you are able to come and not signed up let me know or get your name on the list Wednesday night. I’m planning to make biscuits and gravy.
I was challenged by my study of Sunday morning’s text that I am to be a “prisoner of peace.” Does peace limit my actions and control my responses especially within the body of Christ?
Pray for Kathy R to be strong and keep from the viruses among us. She is in the middle of chemo. Continue to pray for strength for Mollie H. Ron H continues to have breathing problems. Pray for wisdom as he consults with doctors.
May God be glorified in you this day.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
