Monday morning reflections
Monday mornings are traditionally a mellow time for pastors. The adrenaline rush of preaching is long gone. The busy necessity of people and events that fill Sunday are only evidenced by the things that need to be “picked up” both at the parsonage and the church.
I begin my Mondays at Kiwanis. I return home about 8a and begin to arrange my week. Like many Monday mornings, today I am warmed by a sense of a good day yesterday. Our guest ministers – Joey and Leah Clapp – were an encouragement. Not only did Joey do a fine job presenting both his burden for Russian-Speaking Jews in New York City and the Word of God, but they were also a joy in our home. I am thankful for their time with us. I hope we are able to see them again and bless them.
Mr. Shaeffer is not feeling well this morning. Pray for him and our school today. We have away basketball games in Waupaca this afternoon.
If you are planning to attend Closer to Glory at Pizza Ranch tomorrow and did not sign up, give me a call today.
