Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Proverbs 17:1 “Better is a dry morsel with quietness, than a house full of feasting with strife.” Anxiety, confusion, and angry words. I pray these words do not describe your home. Bickering destroys the enjoyment of the finest meal. It is better to have just enough and a mind at rest than any kind of riches.
Tomorrow is Senior Lunch and Bible Study. We meet at Rolling Meadows at noon to eat off the menu. Then, after lunch, we will have a topical Bible study on “Social Justice.” We hear a lot about justice today. What does the Bible say? We will not have a Senior Lunch and Bible study in June because the Leeds are going to be visiting grandsons in Montana. The next time we meet will be a picnic at the parsonage on July 13th. Stay tuned for details!
This Wednesday we begin our summer trimester of Bible studies. We begin at 7:00 p.m. at the church. I will be leading the adult study as we continue our walk through the historical books of 1 & 2 Samuel. Pastor Charlie will be leading the teens – those going into 6th grade through high school (graduating seniors are welcome.) Carolyn Olson will have a lesson for those old enough to be out of the nursery through those going into 5th grade. I encourage you to make Wednesday evenings a time to fellowship with God’s people, pray with the church, and study God’s Word.
There are two other Bible studies this week. Men are invited to join us at 6:00 a.m. at the church. We will be discussing John 14 this week. The teens are also studying the gospel of John and have a study this week at Charlie and Brittany’s home on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
We had a good Men’s Meeting last night. Pray for the business of our church – especially God’s leading as to the timing of a project to replace our east doors. Pray for Darryl’s healing from surgery. Pray that Kathy’s pathology report from today’s biopsy is negative.
Do everything without complaining. Rejoice in all that God has given to you.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
