Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 40:1-3 I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me, and heard my cry. 2 He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. 3 He has put a new song in my mouth— Praise to our God; many will see it and fear, and will trust in the Lord.
I rejoice in the good day of worship and instruction at Trinity Baptist yesterday. Pastor Shaeffer and Pastor Charlie did an excellent job teaching us. Don Shire was a blessing in music and a challenge to us concerning missions. I pray that many were encouraged and Jesus glorified.
Senior Lunch and Bible study is tomorrow, May 16, 2023 at Rolling Meadows Restaurant. We meet at noon to order off the menu and then have our Bible study after we eat. We will be looking at Colossians 3:1-14 where Paul instructs us to act like we are Christians.
Pray for David O. He had to leave church early yesterday to go to urgent care. He received antibiotics for a tooth infection. Continue to pray for Mollie H. Donna B see the doctor tomorrow about her leaky heart valves. It was good to see Tom M in church yesterday. Pray for Terry S, he is recovering from back surgery.
Plan now to celebrate with us the end of our Trinity Baptist School year 2022-2023. Kindergarten graduation and Awards Night is on Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. Our Kindergarten graduates include Addison Braker, Carter, Braker, Jeremiah Haase, Kinley Shaeffer, and Bella Struska. The elementary students will sing on Thursday night. On Friday evening, our high school students will sing at the Trinity Baptist School high school graduation. Our graduates are Levi Shaeffer and Hannah Struska. Friday’s commencement will begin at 7:00 p.m. The speaker chosen by our high school seniors is Mr. Tony Braker.
Rejoice in knowing that God is in control, the wicked will be punished, and Jesus will be glorified. May this be true in my life, even today.
