Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, What lovely weather we are having – if you are a duck! Pastor Shaeffer reminded us this morning that if this were snow we’d be getting a lot of it. Paul told the Colossian church that he was struggling for them “that their hearts may be encouraged …” 2:1-2. O God, might I struggle today to encourage the hearts of others!
Tomorrow, Tuesday, January 17th, is Senior Lunch and Bible Study. Come join us at Rolling Meadows. We order off the menu at noon. After we eat we will have a Bible study from the first 7 verses of Colossians 2. Read ahead to have your mind ready!
I praise God for those who join in the leadership of Trinity Baptist by serving on various committees. Saturday, the Building and Grounds Committee met for over an hour and a half. We approved projects including: installing a motorized shade for the south widow of the auditorium, replacing our smoke alarms and installing emergency lighting, replacing/remodeling the boys’ basement bathroom, and replacing/upgrading the lighting in our sign to LED. Our Finance Committee met last night after church. It was decided to go ahead with our property evaluation expense and not pay off our debt ahead of schedule with current funds.
Souped Up! is two weeks from Thursday. If you want to be assured of your pick of specific varieties, place your order by Monday, January 30th. Make plans now to pick up your order on February 2nd. You can buy more on the 2nd, but we may not have all varieties available.
I rejoice in yesterday’s good day in God’s house. The testimony of our guest speaker was refreshing. I delight to hear how God has worked and is working in places far away and very different from Fond du Lac.
May you be blessed and encouraged. May you be a blessing to someone else.
