Letter from Susie Kallal – February , 2012
The last few months can be summed up by the song “There Shall be Showers of Blessing.” “Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.” (Psalm 68:19)
What sweet fellowship we had at Grace Baptist church on Christmas Eve day. The church ladies cooked a wonderful meal of rice and relish (cabbage and hamburger) for lunch. In the afternoon the teens and adults went to the hospital to sing Christmas Carols. We sang songs, passed out tracts and gave each patient a mini loaf of sweet bread. The church folks at Grace received a bag of mealie meal (their staple food) as a Christmas gift from the Barkers and me.
We thank the Lord that our Zambian believers are growing and beginning to do the work of the ministry. Mr. Milford Mulimba, who has been working with the teens, just received his four year degree in Pastoral Ministries at Baptist Bible College and Institute. Milford is now the Associate Pastor at Grace Baptist Church . I am training Collins Malesu to oversee the children’s ministry. He has been teaching the children, and his love for them is so very obvious. Pray for Collins that he will continue to be faithful to God and set a godly example.
Thank you for your continued prayers and financial help with our new church building. All the blocks to finish the building to roof level are made and ready. We are still in need of most of the funds for the roof. You all have given so generously to this project and I am very grateful. We are trusting God to supply the rest of the needed funds for the roof.
Please pray as I prepare for a summer furlough. These last three years have gone by fast. I am looking forward to reporting to each of you the wonderful Blessings that God has showered upon the ministry here in Zambia . After I finalize my date of return, I will be in contact with each supporting Pastor/Church.
Thank you for being supportive and encouraging, as well as good listeners and faithful prayer warriors. Each of you is such a blessing to me.
Blessings to you,
Susie Kallal
