Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. Has anyone ever broken their promise to you? Have you ever said you would do something, but then failed to do it? All of us can identify with both of these questions. We are human. We break our word. God has never failed to keep His Word. Every promise He has made He will keep. God promises judgment to the unrepentant. He promises life to believers. He promises to never abandon us, never leave us. Jesus has never lied to you.
Pray for the Roger and Joslyn M family. Joslyn’s mom has passed away. She lived in New Jersey. Roger’s dad has severe dementia and lives in Florida. Pray for emotion and physical strength and wisdom for Roger and Joslyn and their family.
Acts 29, the Young Adult Bible Study, meets tonight at 7:00 p.m. at Tony and Beth’s home. All those out of high school who feel young are welcome to attend.
Men’s Prayer Breakfast is tomorrow, Saturday at 8:00 a.m. Currently 3 of us are signed up. If you’d like to add to that number, contact me ASAP today!
Sunday is Promotion Sunday. Many young people will be moving to a new class. If Sunday School is not part of your weekly habit, this is a good time to begin!
We will not have Junior Church this Sunday.
Pray for our missionary Tim S. He is in a country that neighbors Afghanistan to disciple Afghani ministers. Pray for his travel safety and for the safety of the meetings in that Muslim country.
Awana begins next Wednesday. Pray for salvation of children. Pray for God to send us just the right children for us to teach and lead. Pray for each Awana leader to be Jesus to someone this year.
Our school has finished week 2! We are doing well and are looking forward to a 3 day weekend!
On Sunday, Darryl begins the section of Job where God speaks. This has been my favorite part of the book. I am looking forward to learning more. In the morning service, I will be talking about the end time wars from Revelation and other texts. On Sunday evening we will be looking at the last days of the Kingdom of Samaria.
Love one another. Serve Jesus.
