Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 95:3-6 For the Lord is the great God, and the great King above all gods. 4 In His hand are the deep places of the earth; the heights of the hills are His also. 5 The sea is His, for He made it; and His hands formed the dry land. 6 Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. We have had a busy and fun week. Sunday through Wednesday evening this building hosted 40 children and 20 leaders in God’s Great Zoo. We studied Creation. What an awesome God we have! Lin and I had the opportunity to teach the 6th-8th graders. Although they are too old to really like all the childishness that goes with our VBS, this group was very mature. They sang, did their crafts, and contributed to the conversation in our Bible study of Creation theology. I was impressed with them. All of them were able to quote Psalm 56:3-6 by the end of Wednesday evening. I pray good memories and good theology will be retained by many who were at God’s Great Zoo.
For those who prayed, thank you. Lin, Sarah, and I had a good day on Tuesday as we participated in the marriage ceremony of Tom and Marie Murray. Lin and I talked to many old friends – some we had not seen in decades. I checked in with the newly weds last night and they are doing well. They intend to be in church Sunday.
Rebekah Fruin will be our missionary this Lord’s Day. This is her 3rd time to visit Trinity Baptist on deputation. When she was a teen her parents presented their ministry on their way to Europe. Then she came to see us when she raised money to go to Cambodia. Now the Lord is leading her to another field. She will present her calling to us during the Sunday School hour and will also be our devos after Church Dinner.
It’s Church Dinner Sunday! I will begin a 6-part walk thought the book of Jude this Sunday morning. I’m calling the series Kept Faith.
