Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 72:17-19 “His name shall endure forever; His name shall continue as long as the sun. And men shall be blessed in Him; All nations shall call Him blessed. 18 Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, Who only does wondrous things! 19 And blessed be His glorious name forever! And let the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen and Amen.” This “Royal Psalm,” written by Solomon, speaks immediately to Solomon’s rule of Israel but primarily to Christ’s Millennial rule of the whole earth. Note that the nations of the earth will call King Jesus blessed. What wonderful rest this gives me, to know that the chaos of the nations of this world today will one day find unity in praising Jesus Christ.
I keep receiving prayer requests. This update on Kim is from Bill S: “Kim finally got an appointment with a GI specialists but it isn’t until March 6th. Unfortunately the doctors have not been able to find what it takes to help her get better. For over a month she has suffered with several symptoms. Hopefully this appointment will help. … We were supposed to leave for Florida today but canceled the 2 week trip we planned since Kim cannot travel. I am leaving Friday for 3 days to take a load of stuff to Miriam in Nebraska to take to Jamie in Florida. I plan to be back Sunday night.”
Also pray for Suzanne G. She tells me: “I just got home from the hospital getting my knee replaced but my tendon was badly damaged (surgery complication) and it is going to take much longer to heal and much more pain.” I understand that she will need to wear a full leg brace for 6 weeks while she receives PT at her apartment. During this time she we only be able to travel by Handy-Van as she will not be able to get into a car.
Today is day 141 for those still being held hostage by Hamas. Pray for their safety and health. Pray for their families. Pray for the church in Israel and Gaza as it tries to minister in very difficult days. Pray too for the church in Ukraine. Recent news tells of Russian success. This means human devastation. Pray that the gospel be preached among these nations.
Pastor Shaeffer and our school’s young people are doing much traveling to basketball tournaments this time of year. Pray for their safety.
In Sunday’s bulletin there is an update on the ministry of Julaine A and the Wisconsin Family Council. They have announced that Julaine is going to be President Emeritus and they have named Christine File as their new President. You will be privileged on Sunday to hear of these things first hand from Julaine. She will be teaching teen/adult Sunday School, bring a greeting in the morning service, and then be the speaker after church dinner. (We support WFC from our Missions budget.) Pastor Shaeffer is our morning preached this week.
May your service of the Lord be effective and joyous.
