Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, When David and Abishai snuck into Saul’s camp, they stole his spear and jug while 3,000 men slept around Saul. How did 3,000 men who were sleeping on the ground stay asleep while David and Abishai had a conversation and took things that were in the middle of Saul’s camp? I know that 3,000 men cannot all be sleeping at the same time! Someone should have been awake and Abner had no doubt established guards. The answer is found in 1 Samuel 26:12b “For a deep sleep from the LORD had fallen on them.” This was a miracle! Maybe this was not as astounding as parting the Red Sea or raising the dead, but it was a miracle of God’s protection none the less. I wonder how many times God has so protected us. It might not have seemed like much. But it was a miracle. Something that should have happened or should not have happened did happen! God is active in watching for His own.
Kathy R has her scan today. Pray for good news. Our missionary, Jon Bergen, has suffered from a lot of tooth pain. He had a successful root canal. Pray the pain subsides.
I received a text from Tim S today. He is back from Poland. They made 2 trips into Ukraine with 5 tons of food and medications last week. They were also able to begin a Ukrainian service in a Polish church plant while they were in Poland.

Men’s Prayer breakfast is this Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. If you have not signed up let me know ASAP. The Building & Grounds Committee has a meeting at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow. An agenda has been sent out to members.
This Sunday after Lord’s Table we will receive an offering for Ukrainian relief efforts. The monies collected will be divided between the two mission agencies that serve Tim S and Rebekah F. Both of these mission agencies have established funds for this purpose and have already distributed many thousands of dollars worth of food and medications through Baptist churches in Poland and Ukraine. This is about as close to “boots on the ground” as we can get!
Wednesday, April 6th, is Awana Grand Prix. The doors will open at 5:00 p.m. for concessions. We will have nacho and hot dog combos for sale. We will also have free birthday cake and water for everyone! Weigh-in begins at 5:30 p.m. and the racing begins at 6:00 p.m. Start your engines!
Pray for the ministry of the Word this weekend. Pray for myself, Darryl and the other Sunday School teachers, and Pastor Shaeffer as we are charged to teach God’s Word. Pray that we as a church might have ears to hear.
