April 4, 2020 Fear#19
Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family: Is God ever surprised by what He did not know? Is God ever frustrated by not knowing how to use what happens for His glory? In His dealings with planet earth, has He forgotten you and your current circumstances. No. No. And no. Hear God’s assurance to the nation of Israel. Isaiah 44:2,8 “Thus says the Lord who made you and formed you from the womb, who will help you: ‘Fear not, O Jacob My servant; And you, Jeshurun (Jerusalem), whom I have chosen. 8 Do not fear, nor be afraid; Have I not told you from that time, and declared it? You are My witnesses. Is there a God besides Me? Indeed there is no other Rock; I know not one.’” Perhaps you’d like to read all of Isaiah 44 in your Bible. God uses metaphors and satire to assure Israel that He alone is God and He has not forgotten them. God is not ignorant of our current status and God is not unable to save. “O God, save us. Heal our land.”
The church is open today and most mornings if you’d like to come by and pick up a bulletin, drop off a gift, or work on a project at the church. It is very easy to maintain “social (physical) distancing” here!
Tomorrow we will be streaming on the Trinity Baptist Church facebook page at 10 a.m. I am going to be telling the narrative of the passion of Jesus. You might call this a “Good Friday” sermon.
Pray for Pat Michler and Tom’s family. Pray for healing for Ross and Carol and Wayne Rose. Pray for our country.
If you or someone you know in our church family is without income at this time, please let us know. We would pray and let the need be known. Who knows what God might do?
Embracing Truth, Pastor
