Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family, Psalm 7:1-2 O Lord my God, in You I put my trust; save me from all those who persecute me; and deliver me, 2 Lest they tear me like a lion, rending me in pieces, while there is none to deliver. We have learned this morning that the Supreme Court of the United States has indeed overturned Roe. While I rejoice in this opportunity for the States to protect unborn children, I fear for the violence that may come from some. I am praying today for our nation. Although I don’t personally fear for myself, my family, or our church – I do fear that many will be harmed as the forces of evil express their rage. Pray for one another and for the will of God to be done. “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.”
I rejoice in the week of ministry that is happening at Trinity Baptist. In the warmth of Tuesday, 13 of us gathered for a time of fellowship and prayer at our Senior Lunch summer picnic. The food and conversation were abundant and beneficial. On Tuesday evening the HAL’s Homebuilders met. Then, it was good to see the church return for Wednesday evening Bible study and prayer. Last week we had a very skimpy number because of the storm. Although many were still gone, we had a good group. Then yesterday, ladies gathered at our home for their weekly Bible study. I believe many good things are being learned and that many are growing in their relationship with Jesus because of these mid-week, small group studies.
During the Sunday School hour this Sunday, June 26th, Luis Reppert will be presenting his burden to begin a church in Chili. And Sunday is Church Dinner Day! I promise to turn the air on early tomorrow to cool the whole building. At 1:00 p.m. our members should gather in the auditorium for our church annual meeting. Annual reports will be available on the MOT in the morning for your lunch time reading!
Nine teens and 4 juniors are going to camp for a week on Monday. Pray for their safety and spiritual growth. Pastor Charlie is going to spend the week at Camp Chetek with the teens.
God is wise. God is strong. God is good. He is too wise to make a mistake, too strong to fail, and too good to ever allow anything that is not for His ultimate glory in our life. Rest in our Rock.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
