Dear Trinity Baptist Church, Proverbs 5:21 “For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and He ponders all his paths.” I have always thought this proverb cut both ways. In context, it is a warning against sexual immorality. No one else may see our secret sins, but God does. Yep, He sees it all. But I have also found comfort in this verse. God sees my efforts. He sees when I attempt to do the right thing. He sees when I am misunderstood or forgotten by others. God sees and He alone has the authority to judge. Live in the terror and comfort of an all-seeing God.
In preparation for her surgery on Monday, Kathy R had a PET scan. The scan revealed nothing new and the little nodule did not “light up” – therefore it is thought not to be cancer. So the nodule that is confirmed to be cancerous that she is having removed on Monday is the only cancer they find at this time! Praise God. Pray for the success of this surgery and a quick and complete recovery.
Our presenter in Sunday School and the evening service is Missionary Evangelist Alexander Tingbani. He is a native of and intends to return to Ghana, West Africa. He has done graduate work at Baptist Theological Seminary of Falls Baptist, Menomonee Falls. We will take offerings for him after Sunday School and again in the evening service.
We get to have both ordinances this Sunday – Lord’s Table and Baptism! Maybelle Armstrong would like to give her testimony to the church and be baptized.
Our 2nd offering on Sunday morning will go to our Sunday School fund and will be used for LEAD scholarships. Pastor Charlie and a half dozen of our teens are going to spend a week at MBU and the Wisconsin Capitol to learn godly community leadership skills. We are excited about this opportunity for them provided by Wisconsin Family Council and our missionary Julaine Appling.
Sunday is the deadline for turning in Ministry Committee nomination forms. Please, if you are a member of Trinity Baptist, take the time to do this. Your prayerful recommendations do much to choose who is working with the Pastors to lead our church. These forms are on the back table and may be put in the offering or in my family box in the auditorium or handed to me. Our annual Congregational Meeting will be held on June 27th at 1:00 p.m.
Embracing Truth, Pastor
