Dan and I were given tickets to a Wisconsin Badger football game. We got to our seats and were settling when I noticed a father and son walking up the steps toward us. Now we were in the top tier of seats at Camp Randall and about half way up so we were quit high. The son, who has downs syndrome, was holding onto the shoulder of his father, who was climbing in front of him.

The 2008-2009 Awana year will kick off this coming Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. We are looking forward to our 15th Awana year at TBC.
Last year we added Puggles, a class for 2 year olds. So we have an Awana Club for 2 years through high school.
This Sunday, August 31st, is our annual end-of-summer picnic. We have Sunday School and Church as our normal schedule and then have a picnic. This year’s picnic will be at the Sam Kaufman home at W10377 Willow Creek in Waupun.
We will once again have a volleyball tournament. Pastor Rory was doing some trash talking Sunday, since his team squeaked out last year’s championship.
This past Lord’s Day Immanual, Virginia, and Phillipe Boozi were our special guests. They are veteran missionaries to France planting a church in Paris.
Virginia is Mr. Shaeffer’s aunt and Immanual is a national Frenchman.
We benefited from both Immanual’s testimony and their challenge concerning the great need in France.
