Things continue to be busy here in South Africa, although we have gotten some opportunities to catch up on our needed rest. On Monday we were able to visit some ministries in South Africa, a South African lady named Johanna has started both an old folks home and a home for AIDS/abandoned babies. Additionally, we were able to visit a day care run by a Christian woman and the Bethesda property.
We arrived in South Africa on Saturday, May 31 at 2:30pm (S. Africa time). The flight was long but went very smoothly, and we had no problems getting into the country (we actually suprised the Zaks with our quick trip through customs and getting our luggage). Thank you for your prayers for smooth and safe travel.
This is hopefully the first of several posts concerning our mission trip. This morning Dick W., Lin, and I drove our 9 TBC Team Africa members to O’Hare. We were joined by a fellow traveler from Minnesota who will be staying with the Zaks until August.
