Ever wonder why people tell you things FYI–just for your information? It just doesn’t make sense to say; why would you want to know something just to know it? Most of the time, even FYI’s have reasons behind them–i.e. prevent against danger, clear a confusion, make a point, to criticize, etc.
I want to thank those who prayed for the Maries. They did indeed receive their passports on time and are now in the States getting ready for one of the weddings they will be attending! I asked them to eat a taco for me at Taco Bell. 🙂
Lin and I have taken advantage of a gift of a week in Door County. We have swam and golfed (free) and read. I have even studied for the 21st!
We will miss being at Trinity Baptist tomorrow. I look forward to hearing Pastor Rory’s sermon on my mp3 sometime next week.

In Acts 21 the Holy Spirit plainly told Paul on more than one occasion through other people not to go to Jerusalem. Paul did not challenge that these messages were from God. Paul went to Jerusalem anyway.
In Jerusalem Paul took a vow and was planning on a sacrifice – very contrary to what he had been teaching. He was in the wrong place with the wrong people. (Who is the “they” of 21:20?)
Corey and Beth Mohr had a baby boy today. He was 3 pounds 8 ounces and his name is Timothy. He was 2 months early. At this writing Beth is in ICU. Timothy is doing well for how early he is. Pray for healing and strength for both Beth and Timothy.
