What a great Lord’s Day we had. I thoroughly loved the preaching of both Dr. Von and Pastor Rory. I look forward to hearing more from Rory in June.
Tony McCoy and I are safely in Irael. We got into our hotel room early enough to put our feet in the Med before dinner. Off to Caesarea – Megiddo – Carmel and Nazareth tomorrow.
Dr. Marty Von and his wife Susan are our guests tomorrow. Dr. Von has ministered at Northland Baptist Bible College for 30 years. He will be following up our series on the Home with some good preaching on relationships in Sunday School and the morning service.
A few nights ago, I received a text message from Cynthia. She had seen on the news that there had been a serious tornado in Oklahoma where my parents live. I tried to call them the following morning, but no one answered. A couple of hours later, though, I was able to connect with them. My mom told me that she could hear the storm and decided to look outside.
“O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! Who hast
set they glory above the heavens” This is our reason for being, the
glory of God!

Sunday is a busy day in our mini-series on the Home. Pastor Rory taught the Family’s Foundations on May 2nd. This week in Sunday School the different classes will teach the Family’s Finances. Last week in church I preached on Children and the Home. This coming Lord’s Day I will preach on Church and the Home.
