Mr. Shaeffer was informed last night that the Oberreich Foundation will not be giving Trinity Baptist School the $16,000 requested in the grant application. Rather, they want to give TBS $20,000 so as to help move TBS more quickly towards stated goals! The Oberreich Foundation grant will update the technology used in TBS classrooms as well as bring equipment and resources to the new library.
It’s Church Dinner Sunday. Bring enough for yourselves and a couple more and join us for lunch after church. In Sunday School and after Church Dinner our speaker is Missionary Dan Boyd to Holland. Dan will present his burden for Holland in Sunday School and bring our devotions in the afternoon.
It has been a long time since I have written. I ask your forgiveness for my lack of keeping in touch the past month and a half. As you know, I came back to the States thinking that my brother would have emergency surgery ‐ a quadruple bypass. He also had a blood clot in his heart which kept them from operating when they thought it was necessary.
Congratulations to both Patriots Soccer and Lady Patriots Volleyball on winning berths to the WACS Tournament this weekend at NIU. Come out for Tuesday’s games. It will be the last time watching seniors Brittany, Jacob, Matt, and Tyler at a home game.
We trust that as autumn is coming upon you that all is well. As you see the leaves turn to the different autumn colors we here are being blessed with seeing the leaves coming out for our spring, which brings to mind a message when Paul said in 2 Timothy 4:21a, “Do thy diligence to come before winter.”
