This last couple of months we have been quite busy and it has been interesting. I always wonder what to put in a prayer letter so that the items would bring you to pray more for this ministry. At the same time it is difficult if you can imagine summing up your past month’s life for others to read about it.
Dear praying friends, I have 7 minutes here in the library, so this will be short. My parents have asked me to stay in Oklahoma until Monday because of the snow storms we have had and the conditions of the roads.
This Lord’s Day we will look at the last half of Romans 1. We continue our “Live by Faith” series by examining the depths of human depravity. We will have a sketch titled “God’s Case Against Everyman.” Our adult Sunday School presenters are Gary and Cindy Blunier. Gary will tell us about his ministry at Family Life in e-mentoring. We have Men’s and Ladies’ Meetings at 5:30 p.m.
For many months we have been anticipating the opportunity of being one of the 600 sites hosting the unveiling of Family Life’s new Art of Marriage DVD series. We have ordered materials for 60 couples and it looks like most of them will be used. Pray for a great conference. We begin on Friday at 7:00 p.m. and will end on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
Thank you for praying for the ministry here and for our family. Colleagues offered to pull my boat up to Benjamin where there is a mechanic who believes he knows what is wrong with the engine. It will take about 3 1/2 days to get there (250 river miles). I plan to catch the jet boat up to Benjamin next week to pick the boat up and then drive it back to Santo Antônio.
