I am reading in Numbers and Deuteronomy just now. I was struck by the idea that no one raised in Egypt – except for Joshua and Caleb – was able to enjoy the goodness of the promised land.
Pray for the high school students of TBS. Tuesday through Friday they are at the ACE Student Convention in Oshkosh. Tuesday is the volleyball tournament and Wednesday is the basketball tournament – both at Wyldewood. The vocal and speech competitions are on Thursday in the UW Music Hall.
When I first came as pastor to Trinity Baptist, I made “Historic, Biblical Christianity in Action, an Independent, Fundamental Baptist Church” a slogan on our stationery and my business cards. I felt these words reflected who we were and what we wanted to be.
