I picked Pastor Rory up at 6:30a and dropped him back off at home at 10:45p on Monday. We spent the day at a conference hosted by 1st Baptist in Rockford, IL. We were blessed by the preaching and the fellowship. We saw many pastors from other churches in the Wisconsin Fellowship of Baptist Churches. Praise the Lord for this opportunity.
We rejoice in the many ways God has blessed Trinity Baptist in the past couple of months. We have brought to conclusion our Awana Clubs and are winding down our school year. 5 young people will graduate from Trinity Baptist School on Saturday, May 21st. We also have two other high school graduates in our church family.
Sunday morning we will take some time to honor Pastor Rory Martin and Principal Jeremy Shaeffer for serving the Lord at Trinity Baptist for 10 years. Both men came to us right after college and have grown into wonderful ministries here. This evening we will have a cake fellowship after the evening service in their honor.
Randy Martin is back with his financial series in Sunday School. Regan Martin is our preacher in the evening. In the morning service we are in one of the most exciting and practical texts in Scripture: Romans 5:20-6:10. In light of grace we will look at our relationship to sin.
One of the challenges of starting a new ministry is finding the balance between busy and getting things done. There are days that in trying to find people to minister to that it is hard to find people that don’t need to be ministered to.
