It is with mixed emotions that I write this email. I have one week left here in Pembine at my home church. Then it’s off on another whirl-wind trip that will cover three states and take me into Canada (for my last church presentation!).
Thank you for your prayers in regards to the elections here in Zambia. The Zambian people were getting restless in waiting on the results of the election that took place on Tuesday. Fighting and riots broke out in major cities. Around midnight the winner of the Presidential election was announced and the mood of the Zambians changed.
This Lord’s Day we are privileged to hear from Dr. Kevin Bauder from Central Baptist Theological Seminary. I have aksed Dr. Bauder to speak on dispensationalism and hermanuetics during a 3-day Bible conference. He will be speaking in both services on Sunday and in Sunday School and on Monday and Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. I encourage you to take advantage of this rich opportunity.
Zambia held their presidential/parliamentary elections a couple days ago on Tuesday, September 20. Though the results have not yet been revealed, fighting and violence have broken out in the major cities in the country. Will you please pray for a hedge of protection around our co-workers Harrison and Michelle Banda and their 2 children who live in Chipata and Martha Barrett who lives in Lusaka.
