This coming Lord’s Day Darryl Mayes will continue teaching the teens and adults during the Sunday School hour from his series on pictures of Jesus in the Old Testament. I will be preaching on our obligations to the people who live around us from Romans 13:8-14 during the morning service. Pastor Rory will take us back into Daniel’s prophecies during the 6:30p service.
We have away games on Thursday, October 6th, but not too far away. Our guys will play Wyldewood Baptist Church at 4p and the girls will play them in volleyball at 5:30p. I understand we will be playing in a new gym! It’s less than a half hour away. Come cheer on the Patriots!
Come enjoy a good afternoon of sports on Tuesday. We have home games with Bay City Christian School in soccer and volleyball – soccer at 4p and volleyball at 5p. There will be concessions!
Sunday was a good day. In our teen and adult study during the Sunday School hour, Darryl Mayes continued his series on Sticks, Stones, and Living Waters” – a look at pictures of Jesus in the Old Testament. I continued our Romans series during the morning worship service. We looked at the relationship of believers to government in chapter 13.
I am leaving Pembine today. You might think, “Well, Carolyn, you’ve been traveling almost the entire year, of course you are leaving Pembine.” But today is different. Faith Baptist in Pembine is my “home” church – it’s where I have “hung my hat” for the past 14 months. As I watched everyone in church on Wednesday night, I realized just how much everyone has come to mean to me.
