What an interesting two weeks this has been! Rafahel and René, along with 8 girls from Megumi (the orphanage where they work) went to Camp in Sucre last week.  Everyone had a great time while there, enjoying the preaching, games, fellowship, and MUCH cooler weather.  Because of her classes in the university, René and Abigail returned one day early.  While on the bus trip, Abigail had many questions about salvation and Rene was able to lead her to Christ.  After a great big hug (which Grandma thoroughly enjoyed), Abi told me what had happened on the trip home.  Needless to say, I got a little emotional.  I can only praise and thank the Heavenly Father who cares so much for the little ones!

Rafahel and René had many hugs for me from the Deaf in Sucre!  I miss them very much, but am so thankful that they continue to be faithful and are growing.  Reynaldo was in church and he asked Rafahel and René to let me know that he had returned and gotten things right and that he was thankful for all that I had done for him in the past.  This blessed my heart tremendously.  Juan has been encouraging Reynaldo (I had talked to Juan about Reynaldo when I was in Sucre) and I would ask that you pray for them as Juan endeavors to disciple Reynaldo.

While Rafahel and René were in Sucre, the Internet at the house here went on the blitz, broke down, ceased to function, (and any other adjective that denotes frustration) and so I was not able to read nor send any emails.  I have now had a good connection for three days (except for a 4 hour period yesterday where there was nothing.)  The first night there was Internet service, I was up until 3:00 a.m. trying to download, clean out all junk mail, etc. because one never knows how long good service will last. I have been pleasantly surprised the last 3 days, and I will try to answer many of my emails over the next few days or as long at the good connection lasts.

The “WHO WHAT WHEN WHERE WHY” format for my updates takes more time, so I will do those only once a month.  Last week, I finished writing and illustrating 6 lessons.  Two I taught in church, and three René will be using in her classes over the next few weeks.  Lucy, Eunice, and others have expressed a desire to copy and use these lessons.  I have also been asked to prepare a devotional booklet for the girls at Megumi.  This will be a big project, but one I look forward to doing.  I have also been asked to prepare the material for a VBS in June during the winter break. Last week, I was able to organize a little over a 1,000 archives.  It is actually turning out nicer than I imagined, and I would appreciate your prayers as I work on these different things.  As you can I will be busy over the next few weeks and months.  It is not hard work, but it is time-consuming and though not physical, it does get taxing mentally.  I am not as young as I used to be, so I will try to pace myself accordingly.

Well, this is all for now.  Thank you for your prayers and for your interest in what God is trying to do, not only in my life, but in the lives of the people He has placed in my life.  GOD IS GOOD…all the time!

Your sister in Christ in Bolivia, Carolyn
P.S.  A little trivia…ants like Coca Cola more than Soya Milk!  (Me, too!)  Soya milk reminds me of chalk…
